Telegraph Road, Darfield
Nestled in the rural township of Darfield, Survus undertook three separate subdivisions side by side - Hidden Acres, Old Field Estate & Darfield Estate. There is a good connectivity between all three developments making this newly developed corner for Darfield very attractive and quite unique.
Hidden Acres - this was the first subdivision undertaken along Telegraph Road, closest to the township, which consists of 28 lots in total, ranging from 800m² - 2900m². The block was well hidden from the main road, hence the name, and being surrounded in trees and a clear view of the mountains in the distance gives the subdivision a unique point of difference.
Old Fields Estate - this is the second subdivision connecting from Hidden Acres. Old Fields Estate consists of 30 lots undertaken in one stage, ranging from 850m² to 1330m² - great family-sized lots. With such popular demand in 2022 these lots largely all sold off the plans prior to development starting.
Darfield Estates - this is the third subdivision furthest from the Darfield township towards Creyke Road. With a sizeable development of 79 lots these section sizes were more focused on compact residential living, being more affordable for householders and easy commuting distance to Christchurch. The lot sizes range from 550m² to 900m². Originally the developer was looking at doing only 8 - 10 larger rural residential-type lots however when we outlined what the property was capable of and the yield and return possibilities on the same area of land, the developer then proceeded with much more intensive development of nearly 80 lots. This subdivision was undertaken in 2 stages and all sections were sold before titles were issued.
