What is a preliminary civil design?
Following on from the infrastructure report is usually the solutions in the way of a Preliminary Civil design that outlines what is intended for the proposed development or subdivision being submitted to Council.
Why you may need a Preliminary Civil Design?
At subdivision or resource consent stage, Councils require evidence that the existing services of the proposed site are capable of coping with the additional demand. For a proposed development, evidence will also be submitted to Council showing proposed servicing arrangements, earthworks, roading layout and also servicing.
